A Delena blush collaboration brings the Disney Channel icons back together, but the campaign photoshoot draws directly from an earlier viral era.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have reunited for a nostalgic new Rare Beauty campaign, channeling their teenage years to recreate moments from their viral 2008 webcam vlogs. Gomez’s cosmetics brand unveiled the collaboration on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, introducing the Delena Soft Pinch Blush Bundle alongside photos that pay tribute to the duo’s early Disney Channel days.

Inside the Delena collection

The $50 bundle includes two shades of Soft Pinch Liquid Blush: Virtue, a beige-peach shade favored by Lovato, and Hope, a nude-mauve shade that is Gomez’s personal favorite, alongside a Soft Pinch Blush Brush. In the promotional images reported by Forbes and Just Jared, Gomez and Lovato pose perched atop suitcases, recreating their famous promotional stance from their 2009 Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program.

Rare Beauty captioned one Instagram reveal, “YO YO YO… 18 years later, Delena is back with a vlog, and yes, they’re still making each other (and us!) blush.” Another post referenced their on-screen royalty, noting, “Royal responsibilities include making each other blush.”

Back to the bedroom vlogs

In an official statement reported by The Zoe Report, Lovato reflected on what it felt like to step onto the set with Gomez after years of shared history.

“Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood, so being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment,” Lovato said. “I’ve loved her liquid blush since she launched the brand, so this was really fun to work on. Being on set together felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup.”

Gomez echoed that feeling in her own statement to the outlet. “The experiences I’ve shared with Demi are truly unique. Coming together for this campaign was a beautiful reminder of that history and a chance to celebrate who we are today,” Gomez said, adding, “One and the same… always.”

A friendship that began on Barney

The two stars first met as child actors around age 7 while appearing together on Barney & Friends in 2002. On January 29, 2008, they began filming homemade webcam videos from a laptop on Lovato’s YouTube channel, establishing an iconic presence for teenage viewers online.

Speaking to ELLE, Lovato discussed how their relationship has shifted over the years while maintaining a lasting foundation.

“We’ve been friends since we were 7 years old when we met on Barney,” Lovato told ELLE. “There have been different chapters throughout our lives, and naturally, friends are in each other’s lives heavily at times, and then sometimes you’re not in constant communication. But Selena is someone that I’ve always loved and adored. It’s really great to be in a place today where we can collaborate on things, but also just hang out and spend time together.”

The beauty campaign arrives six months after Gomez showed public support for Lovato by attending the opening night of the It’s Not That Deep Tour in Orlando, Florida, on April 13, 2026, where the pair reconnected backstage.

Fan reaction and what comes next

Fans immediately celebrated the project across social media under the trending hashtag #DelenaIsBack, sharing archival video clips and photos from their 2000s appearances. While the launch generated wide interest online, it remains unconfirmed whether this collaboration is strictly a one-time limited bundle or if the duo plans additional product shades, restocks, or future entertainment projects together.
