The Weeknd has officially made touring history, wrapping up his After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour with more than $1.3 billion in ticket sales. Tour promoter Live Nation confirmed on Thursday, November 5, that the trek concluded Wednesday night at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, setting the all-time record as the highest-grossing tour by a male solo artist.

By generating more than $1.3 billion across 176 performances, the Canadian singer surpassed Elton John, whose Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour previously held the solo male record with approximately $939 million grossed over 330 shows before ending in July 2023.

According to figures reported by Pollstar and Variety, After Hours Til Dawn now stands as the third highest-grossing concert tour in history overall. It ranks behind only Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which grossed over $2 billion, and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which brought in more than $1.5 billion.

A four-year global run

The tour began on July 14, 2022, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Over the course of four years, the production visited 67 cities across 30 countries and five continents, ultimately selling more than 9 million tickets.

In an official press release distributed through PR Newswire on Thursday, promoters confirmed the finale:

“Last night, diamond-certified global superstar The Weeknd officially brought his historic After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour to a close with a final performance at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, marking the end of an extraordinary four-year global run.”

The tour originally passed the $1 billion milestone in November 2025 across 153 scheduled dates following ticket on-sales for 2026 stadium legs across Latin America, Europe, and the UK.

Surging through 2026

The final year of the trek brought significant box office momentum. In 2026 alone, the tour grossed over $500 million and moved more than 3 million tickets. That run included topping the Billboard Boxscore monthly chart in July 2026 after taking in more than $120 million in that month alone.

Speaking to HITS Daily Double ahead of the finale, Omar Al-joulani, President of Touring at Live Nation, discussed the decision to expand the trek across Asia:

“The Weeknd has been a stadium act in Australia, South America, Mexico and all through Europe, so Asia was the final frontier.”

Al-joulani also pointed out that the singer continued to expand his audience with each leg of the tour, comparing his artistic evolution to David Bowie.

Charity donations and what comes next

Alongside its ticket revenue, the tour generated $8.5 million in total donations directed to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen. That sum included $3 million raised during 2026 specifically for the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen.

While the four-year stadium trek has wrapped, it remains unknown whether The Weeknd plans any standalone festival dates or residency performances before his next album cycle begins. Independent details regarding the artist’s net earnings split versus promoter revenue for the final $1.3 billion total have also not been detailed.
