Global girl group Katseye postponed their concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit roughly 30 minutes before showtime on Tuesday, November 3, after member Megan Skiendiel fell ill.

The announcement arrived in an Instagram Stories statement from the band just as attendees were waiting for the performance to begin, as reported by Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, and Just Jared. Megan did not take part in the soundcheck held before the concert, and the main event was called off to give the singer time to rest.

What the group told ticket holders

In their statement, the group apologized directly to fans who had already gathered at the venue or traveled to Michigan for the stop.

“We’re so sorry to share that tonight’s show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed due to illness,” the group wrote. “Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has the time she needs to rest and recover.”

The post continued: “We know so many of you have traveled, made plans, and been looking forward to tonight. We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t get to see you, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and for always showing us so much love. We love you and can’t wait to see you soon.”

Little Caesars Arena confirmed that all tickets purchased for Tuesday’s Detroit concert will remain valid for a rescheduled date once it is announced.

How fans reacted

The sudden timing sparked mixed reactions online, as reported by Us Weekly and Koreaboo. Several concertgoers voiced frustration about traveling, booking hotels, and queuing outside the arena only to learn of the postponement half an hour before the lights went down.

On X, one attendee shared disappointment after spending $889 on the trip with their daughter, voicing anger over receiving notice only 30 minutes before the concert was set to start.

Other supporters urged the group’s management companies, HYBE and Geffen Records, to protect the performers’ health and ease their demanding tour and rehearsal schedule. An unverified rumor also circulated online and was reported by Us Weekly, with a fan comment noting speculation that Megan may have fainted backstage prior to the show. Neither the group nor their management has disclosed a medical diagnosis or confirmed any backstage incident.

A demanding tour schedule

Katseye formed in 2023 on the reality competition series The Debut: Dream Academy and officially debuted in 2024. The Detroit date is part of the North American leg of their Wildworld Tour.

The group has navigated several lineup adjustments and physical setbacks throughout the year. Bandmates Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are both on hiatus for health reasons, with Sophia planning to rejoin the lineup in January 2027.

Megan also suffered a sprained ankle during rehearsals in late August, forcing Katseye to withdraw from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine, California. More recently, on October 29 during a tour stop in Boston, Megan and Daniela missed a VIP pre-event and Q&A session due to health issues, though that concert went ahead as scheduled.

Katseye has not yet announced the rescheduled date for Detroit. The group’s next scheduled tour dates include Chicago’s United Center on Thursday, November 5, and Minneapolis’ Target Center on Saturday, November 7, with no official word yet on whether those shows will be affected.
