The status of the 2026 series
The Great British Bake Off returned to screens for series 17 with a premiere on Channel 4 on September 22, 2026. The 2026 judging lineup includes longtime judge Paul Hollywood working alongside judge Nigella Lawson.
Ahead of the new season, an uncredited staff writer for the Oxford Mail noted the history of the tent on September 17, 2026, writing: “The Great British Bake Off is returning in 2026, but what have all the previous winners been up to since their time on the show?”
As of November 2, 2026, the 17th series remains on air, and the competition has not yet determined who will lift the trophy. While unconfirmed predictions and speculation about potential finalists and the eventual winner have circulated across social media and viewer forums, an official 2026 champion has not yet been crowned.
